Inclement Weather Policy

WE ENCOURAGE ALL TEAMS TO MAKE DECISIONS BASED ON WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM, WE DO UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATIONS WEATHER FORECASTS CREATE, BUT WE ARE A TRAVEL BALL FACILITY LOCATED NEAR THE BEACH AND TYPICALLY HAVE A CHANCE OF RAIN EVERY WEEKEND

WE DO NOT CANCEL BASED ON THE FORECAST

(with the rare exception of STATE OF EMERGENCY and Unsafe Traveling Conditions) 

• DECISIONS TO DELAY OR CANCEL WILL BE BASED ON ACTUAL FIELD AND PLAYING CONDITIONS.
  
• WE ALWAYS MAKE EVERY POSSIBLE EFFORT TO PLAY AND SPARE NO EXPENSE, INCLUDING UTILIZING STAY-DRI TO PREPARE FIELDS.
• COACHES/PARENTS: PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE FOR WEATHER UPDATES
  
• WE WILL NOTIFY ALL COACHES Via OUR ONE CALL SYSTEM.

Cancelation or Delay Due to Inclement Weather:

The safety of our players, coaches and spectators is of the utmost importance to Sports at the Beach and weather related decisions are not made lightly. We will make every effort possible to complete the tournament in the time period allotted. We are not however, able to continue or extend a tournament to another day or weekend.

We put our reputation on the line each and every time we run a tournament and we therefore will make every effort possible to see that all games are played and all tournaments completed. 

Sports at the Beach utilizes an automatic calling system to keep coaches updated regarding all weather decisions. In the event of a weather-related delay or cancellation, all coaches will be contacted by this automated system. Information regarding these decisions can also be found on our homepage, and on our Facebook page.

The following guidelines are used for determining account credits due to weather cancellations:

• 0 Games Played: 100% Credit
• 1 Game Played: 75% Credit
• 2 or more games played is considered an "Official Tournament" and no credits will be issued.
• Official Tournament: Awards will be given to First and Second Place Teams based on pool play standings. ( when 2 or more games have been played)

The amount of the credit issued is based on the actual tournament fee paid.

Gate fees , processing or administrative fees will not be eligible for credits or refunds. No Exceptions.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ISSUED DUE TO WEATHER CANCELLATIONS - TEAMS WILL BE ISSUED A CREDIT TOWARDS ANOTHER SPORTS AT THE BEACH TOURNAMENT.

Credits expire one year after issued and are non transferable.
