We understand that Travel Baseball Tournaments require planning and coordinating and we want your weekend baseball tournament at Sports at the Beach to be easy and enjoyable, leaving time to visit our Delaware beaches, tax free outlets and great dining when you are not at the ball field!


Tournament Teams traveling 90+ miles are required to book accommodations through our booking partner Book Your Block. We understand that not all families have the same needs or preferences for accommodations and It's not easy to please everyone with the same solution, which is why our booking program is designed to be flexible and our minimum requirements are the lowest in the industry! We are confident that when families are presented with the option and realize the savings and convenience, that your team can easily meet the minimum booking requirement.

  • A Book Your Block representative will contact you to set up a group block of rooms.
  • You'll share the booking link with your team families via email.
  • Families can easily book their preferred lodging at the guaranteed lowest rates.

Simply put, we need teams to stay in business and teams need to have (affordable) options for lodging.

Making reservations and booking large blocks of rooms for the best price or even at the same rate just got easier! We know in the past few years your teams have experienced first hand, the continued rising costs, the unpredictable rates and room inventory issues associated with travel tournaments.  So we couldn't sit back and watch teams struggle and overpay, we knew we needed to make a change that would guarantee our travel teams could efficiently manage and secure affordable accommodations for every Sports at the Beach Tournament! After endless hours researching and vetting multiple potential partnerships with various booking engines, platforms, portals and lodging management programs, our team is happy to announce our partnership with Book Your Block, a fully managed event housing solution and an industry expert specializing in accommodations for sporting events and travel teams.

SATB STAY &  PLAY POLICY

  • All teams located over 90 driving miles from the venue must comply with the Stay-To-Play policy.
  • All tournament hotel reservations must be booked exclusively through the Book Your Block event booking engine. 
  • Booking through Book Your Block ensures you receive the partner hotel's Lowest Available Rate and may include additional amenities
  • Each team must book a minimum number of room nights listed here. 
  • Team managers are responsible for communicating the policy to athlete families.
  • Teams will be considered ineligible to play if they fail to meet the minimum requirements.



OPTIONAL insurance

  • Protect your travel from potential disruption scenarios including athlete injuries, and health related cancellations .
  • The Deluxe Travel Insurance policy is through International Medical Group (IMG)
  • You may purchase insurance during the booking process at check out.
  • Your insurance payment is directly to IMG and costs approximately 3.75% of the booking amount (minimum $500 booking coverage)

Exemption Policy & Process

Teams traveling 90 or less miles are exempt from the policy, but are encouraged to utilize the Book Your Block services to ensure the best rate!


We know that not all players, parents and fans need or want traditional hotel accommodations, which is why the number of rooms per team per night is lower than the standard requirement.  Prior to requesting a exemption or adjusted minimum all teams are required to provide team members, families and coaches the policy and booking information.


We will not approve exemptions for teams that have not communicated or contacted Book Your Block in an effort to resolve housing issues or requirements directly with a representative from  Book Your Block.


If a hotel is not partnered with Book Your Block it is because they are not team friendly or they do not want to provide best rates for our teams. If a hotel is listed and not available please contact Book Your Block!  Book Your Block provides the best rates at the best hotels & lodging in our area.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A DEDICATED HOTEL MANAGEMENT PARTNER and the STAY & PLAY POLICY?


  • The Stay to Play policy provides efficient management and communication of travel logistics for you and your team. Hundreds of teams may attend each tournament, and we must plan and secure in advance enough rooms to accommodate all teams and athlete families traveling into the area.
  • All guest rooms in each hotel block are at the same room rate, so athlete families in the group all pay the same amount no matter what order they book. The Book Your Block system is different from the traditional hotel booking model, which continually raises the room rate as more rooms book, and less inventory becomes available.
  • Book Your Block visits and inspects partner hotels. We communicate these experiences with group leaders and athlete families to ensure each group is at the best location and has the amenities and comforts desired by the group.
  • Offering one centralized booking site makes it simple and efficient for teams to compare hotel amenities and pricing.
  • We geo-targeted hotels close to the venue and sourced brand-name hotels for your convenience.
  • We ensure that your club or group has the option to stay together in one location close to the venue. Group leaders can secure a block of rooms without having to complete a contract with the hotel or deal with attrition clauses and penalties for rooms that are not reserved.
  • Our hotel partners remove a block of rooms from their general public inventory, and we must implement a policy that residing teams book these allocated rooms.
  • Partner hotels provide Special Event Rates, which are discounted group rates based upon the volume of rooms allocated towards the event.
  • The Partner Hotels contractually agree these rates to be the Lowest Available Rates during the event.
  • We negotiate to add in amenities that may not usually be available if you booked on other sites. These may include complimentary parking, breakfast, discounts to on-site restaurants, etc.
  • We offer a complimentary concierge service that helps you select the hotel that best fits your club's needs and sets up the room blocks, as well as offering template communications to athlete families.
  • Having a successful relationship with our hotel partners, leads to annual increases in our hotel inventory which helps support the event's growth.
